Hi, I’m Simon, the person behind Captured by Simon.
I work with businesses, brands, organisations, and live performers across South Wales to create professional video, photography, and content that feels authentic, engaging, and genuinely reflective of the people behind the brand.
Whether I’m filming a tourism campaign, creating promotional content for a local business, or capturing the atmosphere of a live performance, I’m always focused on creating visuals that feel natural, honest, and full of personality.
How it started.
My creative journey began at Carmarthen School of Art, where I studied Foundation Art & Design with the intention of pursuing a career in graphic design.
But after a photography lesson, I quickly became drawn to the process of capturing real moments, finding interesting light and compositions, and documenting the personality behind the people and projects I was working with.
From that point on, visual storytelling became something I genuinely connected with, and it’s a passion that continues to shape the way I approach my work today.

Based in Llanelli, I’ve had the opportunity to work across a huge range of projects throughout Carmarthenshire, Swansea, Cardiff, Pembrokeshire, and the wider South Wales area.
From tourism campaigns and hospitality brands to live music, events, and local businesses, I love being able to work with such a diverse range of people and industries while staying connected to the place I call home.
Building Captured by Simon
Before launching Captured by Simon independently, I was one of the co-founders of another South Wales creative business.
Going solo was a hugely transformational step for me creatively and personally. It gave me the confidence to fully trust my own creative instincts, develop my own approach, and build a business that reflects who I am and how I enjoy working with people.
It also allowed me to focus on creating work that feels true to my own creative style.
Today, Captured by Simon is focused on building strong relationships with businesses and creating visual content that not only looks great, but genuinely helps clients communicate who they are.
